Swords are a very common weapon in the world of One Piece. Many people wield swords, but there are those who train hard, and learn to use swords exceptionally well. These people are known as swordsmen. Throughout One Piece various Swordsmen come in different grades and types. Some of these swords they wield are named and are even classified as "meitou".

Katana-750 Beri each
The katana (刀, katana?) is a type of Japanese sword. It is a single-edged, curved blade that was used by many samurai. Pronounced as "kah-tah-nah", both katana and katanas are acceptable as the plural forms. Tashigi's Shigure is a katana. The katana length is between 60 to 73 centimeters.

Daitō- 1200 each
Rather than a specific weapon, the daitō (大刀, long sword?) is actually a category of blades under which both the katana and tachi fall. To qualify as a daitō the sword must have a blade longer than 2 shaku (approximately 24 inches or 60 centimeters) in a straight line. In the case of Roronoa Zoro, all three swords that he uses for his Santoryu are all confirmed as Daito katanas.

Nodachi-1200 each
The nodachi (野太刀, field sword?) is a large two-handed Japanese sword. Compared to the katana, the nodachi was more difficult to wield due to its size and weight, but - like any weapon - could be extremely deadly if the warrior wielding it was skilled. The length of the nodachi's hilt varied between twelve to thirteen inches (30 to 33 centimeters). Its cutting capability and range exceeded that of a katana, due to its weight and size. Nodachi's length can reach the 1.50 meters. The captain of the Heart Pirates, Trafalgar Law wields one of these, to be used in conjuncture with his Devil Fruit powers. Shiryuu, former Chief Guard of Impel Down, also wields one.

Cutlass-500 beri each
A cutlass is a short, thick saber, with a straight or slightly curved blade sharpened on the cutting edge, and a hilt often featuring a solid cupped or basket-shaped guard. Best known as the sailor's weapon of choice, the naval side arm, likely because it was also robust enough to hack through heavy ropes, canvas, and wood. It was also short enough to use in relatively close quarters, such as during boarding actions, in the rigging, or below decks. Many low-ranking Marine soldiers and pirates are shown to be wielding one of these.

Saber-750 beri
A saber is a type of sword with a single edge blade with a large hand guard. Its blade is usually (but not always) curved of variable length. Unlike a cutlass, the saber is longer and thinner in design. Sabers are often seen being used by background characters. The most notable use of one is by Shanks, who seems to favor them over other sword types. His saber seems to be larger than a normal one.

Kukri-1000 each
The kukri is a heavy, curved knife used for both as a tool and a weapon. It is slightly deflected at an angle of 20°, though some examples have a very steep angle. The kukri starts with 3 to 10 centimeters, the length is 30 cm onwards, tapering towards the edge from the broad upper margin. It almost always has a single edge and almost never has a "false edge". It usually has a very thick spine and in many ways is a hybrid between knife and axe. The "Big-Knife" used by Sarquiss resembles a kukri, and Helmeppo uses two kukri for combat.

Shikomizue-1350
A shikomizue (仕込み杖, prepared cane?) is a sword normally concealed inside a cane or walking stick. It became popular when katanas were outlawed. Brook has been seen wielding one for his Fencing Style, and Roronoa Zoro also used one in an anime-only flashback.

The Kiribachi-2000 beri
is a gigantic sword used by Arlong. It has saw-toothed patterned blades, resembling a shark's saw-like teeth. This sword was not Arlong's main weapon of choice, but merely as a final resort against powerful opponents. Several of its blades were broken by Monkey D. Luffy.
AbilitiesThe sheer size of the sword is quite enough to overwhelm an ordinary opponent. Also, the multiple blades means one or two broken teeth won't render the sword completely useless.
Arlong has shown to swing the Kiribachi in a frenzied manner, and perform consecutive somersaulting slashes with in the manner of a buzzsaw

The sword that T-Bone uses is a straight-bladed sword. T-Bone noted that he hated curved swords. It was destroyed by Roronoa Zoro. In his appearance in the Marineford Arc, it seems that he has either repaired the sword or got a similar replacement.
Abilities As with Juracule Mihawk, T-Bone is able to produce otherworldly waves by swinging his sword (though his are blue instead of purple) that can cut through just about anything. His capabilities were good enough to slice through ships, earning him the nickname: Ship-Cutter.

Chokkaku Senkō Ketsu Sowāru (直角閃光　ボーン空割(ソワール), Right Angle Flash: Bone Slash): T-Bone first makes a right angle cut in the air with his sword, and then swings it, sending a rectangular cut forward. This makes a clean, rectangular cut on whatever it hits. In the Viz Manga, this is called Right Angle Flash...!! Bone Soir.
Chokkaku Hichō Ketsu Ōdorī (直角飛鳥　ボーン大鳥(オオドリー), Right Angle Flying Bird: Large Bone Bird): T-bone slashes the air and propels a beam-shaped cut at the enemy. The cut is able to bounce off the air on sharp angular turns, and appears with a bird shaped head at the front of the cut. In the Viz Manga, this is called Right Angle Flying Bird Bone... Bird of Pray.

Personal swords

Ohm's Sword
This special sword used by Ohm has an elaborate hilt and a blade made of iron cloud, a brand of Skypiean cloud said to be as strong as steel, but as light and flexible as the clouds that made up the whole of Skypiea, emitted from a Milky Dial installed in the said hilt. Ohm can control this sword's length and shape, making it lunge out at an opponent, form different stabbing or slashing weapons, or even form a giant iron wall to shield him against attacks.
Attacks
Eisen Whip (鉄の鞭（アイセン･ウイプ）, Aisen Uipu): He unleashes a powerful whip-like attack from his sword, making it look like a projectile attack at high speeds.
Eisen Back (鉄の堤防（アイセン･バック）, Aisen Bakku): He forms a solid wall to block any of his opponent's attacks.
Eisen Fan (鉄の扇（アイセン･ファン）, Aisen Fan): Ohm shapes the blade of his sword into a fan-like blade and strikes against his opponent.
Eisen Fork (アイセン･フォーック, Aisen Fōkku): He shapes his sword into a giant fork and wields it like a whip once again.
Eisen Fleuret (アイセン･フルレット, Aisen Fururetto): An attack in which he shapes his sword into a long, sharp spear and projects it against his opponent.

Kaku's Swords
The pair of swords used by Kaku are just a pair of katanas with wooden hilts and wooden sheaths. Oddly enough, when Kaku was using them in his half giraffe form, the swords themselves became noticeably larger. This was never addressed as either being a deliberate change or simply done for effect. Both swords also lack hand guards

Shanks' Sword
The Sabre that Shanks uses appears to have no special attributes to it aside from its large size and strength enough to survive combat with Whitebeard and Juracule Mihawk.
It was used to fight Mihawk on various occasions before Mihawk ceased their rivalry. Shanks often keeps it on his right side, even after losing his left arm to the Lord of the Coast, suggesting he may have been ambidextrous beforehand.

Other Edge Weapons

Knives-100
A Knife is a small single bladed tool used for cutting things with. A knife has come to be seen as a eating tool, but it can be used for many things. Because of their size, they are easily concealed and can be used as weapons for fighting with.
Sanji has been seen using knives for cooking as well as calling them a chef's soul. Buggy carries many knives with him, including hidden within the soles of his shoes. Other pirates and people carry knives for combat or other purposes.

AxeAn axe is a heavy curved blade attached to the end of a stick, and it can have the blade on either one or both sides. They can be used for tools, such as chopping down wood, or as combat weapons. There is also the "Axe Dial", which produces a burst of very sharp slicing air that can split a man in two.

Morgan has an axe installed as a prosthetic right hand, earning him the nickname "Axe-Hand". X. Drake also uses a four-bladed axe, each blade going in one of four cardinal direction. Other notable axe users include Sentoumaru, Blue Gorillas, and Ronse.
